Most definitely Goldenbooks and Dr. Suess when my kids are little. Those are classics for growing up like the Goldenbooks (Beristein Bears, The Little Engine that Could, etc.) I'd also want my kids to eventually know the classics of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R.
